GLOSSARY
Here are the most commonly used terms in Reiki and Chios practice. If you have any further questions about terms, feel free to reach out!

Chakra(s)
Chakras are energy nodes (wheels/circles) within the body. Both animal and humans have them. Starting at the top of the head and going down, there are seven chakras: Crown, Third Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, Root.
Crown Chakra - Located at the top of the head. Represented by the color violet. It is associated with higher self, consciousness, and all-knowing.
Third Eye Chakra - Located between the eyebrows. Represented by the color indigo. It is associated with inner guidance and access to clarity on an intuitive level.
Throat Chakra - Located in the throat. Represented by the color sky blue. It is associated with expression using your voice.
Heart Chakra - Located in the center of the chest. Represented by the color green. It is associated with the emotions of love.
Solar Plexus Chakra - Located between rib cage and belly button. Represented by the color yellow. It is associated with personal power/self-esteem.
Sacral Chakra - Located four inches down from the solar plexus. Represented by the color orange. It is associated with reproduction.
Root Chakra - Located the base of the spine and pelvic floor. Represented by the color red. It is associated with a base for life and helps you feel grounded.

Chios
Chios is a powerful energy healing technique using color, energy, and light to heal and balance whole wellness of the being.

Energy Healing
Also referred to as Energy Therapy. An alternative healing method that is based on the energy flow through the body that promotes well-being. Reiki and Chios are two modalities of Energy Healing. Energy Healing can be used in conjunction with traditional therapies.

Energy Blockage
When a Chakra is out of balance, not functioning properly, or damaged, there may be a blockage. There are many different reasons for energy blockages, including mental, emotional , and physical ailments. Energy healing can assist with healing blockages.

Reiki
Reiki is made up from two Japanese words: "Rei" meaning Higher Power and "Ki" meaning life force energy. Reiki practitioners create a connection with Spirit and become the conduit for healing energy sent to the individual.
